A few weeks ago, the always inspiring and spectacularly vivacious Misty McPadden (@mistygirlph) asked me to contribute to one of her posts on List25 about blogging tips for beginners. I’m still reeling from the excitement that such an authoritative influencer like Misty would seek out tips and advice from little ol’ me. But it’s true and now I feel like a boss.
What the Heck Is List25?
David Pegg (@iamdpegg) and Syed Balkhi (@syedbalkhi) conceptualized and launched List25 as a site that “compiles lesser-known intriguing information on a variety of subjects”. With over 350,000 subscribers and over 250,000 Facebook fans, I’d say their endeavor is quite a success.
The post includes 25 tips from 25 bloggers who’ve been there, done that. In other words, you’ll get ideas and insights about how to amp up your blog and increase your digital authority from some fabulous successful bloggers.
Boss Bloggers Offer Sage Advice
People like Kerry O’Shea Gorgone, Peg FitzPatrick, Jim Dougherty, Gabriella Sannino, John Paul Augiar, John Lusher and more offer their best advice for both newbies and those who’ve been at the blogging game for a while. Another blogger, A.R. Karthick, who contributed to the list, says “Blogging is fun but requires a lot of work”. Boy, isn’t that the truth? And Marty McPadden implores you to “create trust with your readers” – a critical element if you want to enjoy sustainable success. FYI, I’m number 7 on the list — one of my favorite numbers.
You’ll most likely want to implement these tips right away. I’m amazed that after all my years as a journalist and content strategist, I continue to learn and expand my knowledge on a daily basis because of people like Misty and the pros who contributed to the post.
